After The Storm

The rain washed the sky.
The sun beamed down upon the earth.

The clouds were washed in golden light.
I was shown a piece of heaven.

Christmas

May you be filled with Christmas cheer,
and may it fill your heart in the coming year.
May you greet those you meet each day
with a smile to cheer them on their way.

May you treat each day like a gift from above,
and enjoy the time you have with those you love.
May you bring something good to all you do,
and let your love and joy come shining through.

May you be filled with wisdom and grace,
and may you live life at an unhurried pace.
May you be the miracle you were meant to be,
and always look for the beauty that is there is to see.

Bloom

Up from the earth
comes the little, green shoot.

It reaches for the sun
and drinks in the rain.

Each day brings new growth.
Each day brings the promise of life.

The Garden Lady

A long time ago in a faraway land
lived a gentle, old woman with a
garden quite grand.

She went out each morning with a
smile on her face admiring with
wonder her garden's quiet grace.

Everyone told her they loved her garden best.
She was just happy to sit down and rest
after weeding and planting and talking with guests.

The happiest moments, she felt in
her heart, were the times she
spent quietly growing her art.

Kindness

Share a bit of loving kindness
as you go about your day.
Look at those who share life's journey
in a kind and gentle way.
When you want to treat another
in a way far less than kind,
take a moment and remember,
you can change your frame of mind.
If we stop and treat each other
as we would our dearest friend,
we could learn to share our kindness
in a circle that will never end.

Life

Sometimes I need to stop and see
what is right in front of me.

It's easy to rush from place to place
without a smile upon my face.

To brighten someone else's day
is easy if I stop along my way.

Life is a journey that we share.
Of this, I have become aware.

I need you, and you need me.
Let's open our eyes and truly see.
