"I'm just a mom." I've said it, too.
But it really is quite untrue.
You are a superhero in a minivan.
You do more work than Superman.
You love, console, and sympathize.
You are a gift rare and wise.
Your children are like fruit on the vine.
You nurture them and it takes time.
Sometimes it seems hard to bear.
We give and give and seem to get nowhere.
But seeds have been planted -
of some we are unaware.
Next time you're feeling
overworked and underpaid.
Remember that you are truly blessed.
Although right now you just want to rest.
You matter more than you now know.
As you watch your children grow,
Rest in the knowledge
that they love you so.
As children age, they realize
you are grand, wonderful, good, and wise.
They have been given a marvelous prize.
They have a mother with love in her eyes.
